Success isn’t just about talent—it’s about the character you build along the way. We believe outstanding characteristics are essential because achieving big goals takes more than just skill. It takes resilience to push through obstacles, integrity to do what’s right even when no one’s watching, and teamwork to share success with others.
The GRIT Character Program is woven into every aspect of our culture—from practices to team meetings to community events. Coaches, teammates, and staff nominate athletes for consistently showing what it means to be:

Goal-Oriented: Setting and achieving personal and athletic goals with the help of a mentor.

Each month, one standout athlete from every Grit location is honored as the GRIT Character of the Month, showing us all what it truly means to lead with character.

As part of this program, we’re proud to partner with the Sandlot Radio Show—a standout platform on SiriusXM MLB Network Podcast Station & FOX Sports Radio—to amplify the voices of our most inspiring athletes.
🏆 GRIT Character of the Month winners are given a rare opportunity to be interviewed or featured through the Sandlot Radio Show, where they may even connect directly with Major League players and coaches who share stories, wisdom, and encouragement.
This isn’t just a reward—it’s a bridge between rising athletes and seasoned professionals who know what it takes to stay grounded while aiming high.
